Claudy Jongstra DDW 2017
Claudy Jongstra's work was one of my favorites at the Dutch Design Week 2017. I decided to make a spread about what she does and what I saw when I was at the Dutch Design week. I love her vision and her method of working, I recognized a lot from my childhood from having sheeps to felting and dying the wool. As an adition to this spread I made broches from felt. With her big tapestry's in the back of my head, I created a miniature version of a tapestry and cut it up to make broches. In that way the miniature tapestry could be shared, and still be a part from a bigger whole.
